Shackle Mounts
These aren't really an involved Fab project but since it has been a slow news day on this forum for a while I figured I'd post them up. Each started as quarter inch sheet stock I had, cut to 2.75 width then welded them together to make a 3/4 inch thick tab. They are still WIP at this point but I will be shaping the ends and should have them cleaned up and primed by this weekend.

RE: Shackle Mounts
Right on. Every little bit of fabrication content inspires us to do more to our rigs. Thanks for sharing this. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

RE: Shackle Mounts
How are you going to mount these; to the frame, winch plate, or butt them to the bumper?

RE: Shackle Mounts
I guess it depends on how Gary would like to mount them.

RE: Shackle Mounts
Update: Took some time last night after the babe went to bed. shaped the ends of the mounts and smoothed down a lot of the corners. Then I coated them with primer to keep them looking decent before install.

Note: the fuzz in the second pic was due to the rag I used to wipe the parts down. After the first coat dried I went back and removed the fuzz.
