Air ride Cool

Lookin great so far! Is there any way you can trim or reshape the cab so your sleeper will fit better?

It won't be to tall. Right now it fits. After I add the 1000 pounts of sheet metal to it it will drop. Even with the HD springs it will drop or at the very least be the same hight that it is right now.

No there are 4 benz seats not including the two i have thay will replace the front seats. Those four seats will be lined up side by side across the back wall of the sleeper. Like a big sofa.

The battery i showed you online is sealed. However i may have just found a better deal one some 6v batteries (230 amp/hrs). Those aren't sealed. Either way I will more than likely be putting a large vent in the battery area leading to the outside of the sleeper.

Matt,

Air ride is absolutely something i want. However i need new springs regardless and that will be a later add on.

As far as the modification of the cab. I'm not sure what you mean?

In the video you said the access panels on the back of the cab were preventing the sleeper from mounting flush. Maybe I misunderstood what was going on.

Slightly. I won't know how much until i take some clamps and pull the whole thing tight to the cab. I'll have some weather stripping between there too. That will address a small amount of the gap. It's not a problem just yet but it's a concern that i have been keeping an eye on. Regardless it's nothing a large hammer can't fix lol.

I was curious about that access panel as well, are you still going to be able to access it or delete it all together?

You won't be able to access it. The original box covered it too. Hell I'm not even sure what's going on inside lol. I'll check once i remove everything from the chassis to clean and paint.

I found one somewhat locally that uses a big rig sleeper cab.

RE: Project Tow Rig - Braun E350 Ambulance
Pretty damn cool. I thought about doing this but then opted out based on some pretty strict size requirements that I wanted to meet. Plus I have the ability to build it myself so why the hell not lol?

Anyway I wish my frame was as clean as this one. I'd be done with this thing by now if it was. Well honestly if I wasn't bouncing around between this, my Pathfinder, the quad, and family obligations I'd be done with this already. Oh well though. It will get done in due time. Jumping around keeps me from getting board with such big projects.

RE: Project Tow Rig - Braun E350 Ambulance
Changing up the plan a little. No rear seats. Going with just a bed setup. Still going to be done nicely. I just don't need a back seat. The kids are at move out age and I don't like them anymore anyway lol. Also this will simplify things quite a bit.

Anyway I don't have any video updates or work updates right now. I've been waiting to get these!

Now I just need brakes, brake lines, fuel lines, and you'll see some real work being done to restore the chassis.
