I'm not sure how capable my little Jeep will ever be, but it'll be out there next year. With a front locker.
Your rig will do just fine, Mark was killing it with 33's all day! Fred has one locker and 35's and look what he does! My place and Jay's are both doable with "real world" rigs, 33's and one locker will get you almost everywhere. All the gnarly black and red stuff is mostly optional and bypassable. My goal is for guys and ladies in mostly stock rigs to have a challenging and fun day while drivers locked up on 42's have an equally fun and challenging day just a few feet or yards away. I'll keep working on the trails until the snow shuts me down!

It's always good to kick it up a notch. The YJ needs a little love and then she'll be rock'n and a rolling next year. The wheeling just keeps getting better.

The 4.0L swap I did on my old CJ7 was the single best thing I ever did to that jeep. The driveability is so much better.
The current CJ7 has the motorcraft 2150 which is good off-road as cuzinjay suggests.

Fear of the unknown for me, that's why I don't feel comfortable with timing belts. Never had too much experience with either in an automotive application.

I hear Kevin has a WJ that's awaiting the Liberty treatment. I think it would be a good addition to your YJ. The 4.0 should bolt up to the BA5/10 and being from a WJ it won't have the little whirley bob inside the doohickey with the 6 things on it going to each spark plug!
