How is the rust on it? And what size is it?

Look forward to seeing the Samurai this summer!

Father brought her home today. First time in the light and my fathers impressed with it. Definitely well taken care of. Just received the title information today in the mail, going to pick up the licence plate and send it back so he can drive it down in a few weeks.

Father says minimal rust, its a 1500 LT. So far everything still works, including heated seats.

It will be nice not owning a tow vehicle that I have to pay monthly payments on, wish I did this years ago.

RE: Suburban/Tahoe interest
Haha, idk. Ive been looking everywhere, NC to NY, and in between. People wanted triple the price I bought this one for, for burbans that didnt even have a trans or engine. I definitely lucked out on this one. I could have problems with this, no doubt, but I could easily have problems with one for triple the price... and honestly, price aside, this is also the nicest one we found.

Just have to keep your eyes open and jump on a good deal. My father jumped on this one and beat 2 other guys there... while he was talking with the seller, the seller got 3 calls regarding it. If I didn't buy it that day, someone else would have for sure!

Also, this was owned by an older man for most of its life. Spent its life in a garage and rarely used in the winter. Even had the original window tag still in it. Its always best to buy from older folks because more than not, they take care of their stuff rigorously and usually set a more than fair price, because at that point, it doesn't owe them anything anymore.

We will see how it goes. Has a 650 mile venture a head of itself. Hopefully all goes well, although I don't see any problems arising. I won't be buying a trailer till its down her just in case something happens and needs immediate $$.

If it makes the 650 mile trip once, it should be able to do it a few more times! It's nice to not have a car payment, that's a good feeling![/align]

Absolutely right! Its a proven fact that cars run smoother when you dont have a payment hanging over your head Smile

That, OR that the first problem will show up right after you make the last payment.

I do recall the clutch return spring snapping on the Focus right after I paid it off ...
