I think I'm all ready for RC!

Spliced into the low pressure line and plumbed in the cooler. Read wayyyyyyyyyyy too much on line about people breaking the reservoir when pulling the old line off or adding a new line in to the reservoir. I do not have time to change a pump so I spliced into the existing one. Got it bled and was running it to burp it and found out that one of the lines was bent too much so had to take it off again, refill, rebleed.

Also changed the water in the transfer case ... replaced it with some transmission fluid. And cleaned out the rear brakes

RE: Mike's Cherokee Build - The Green PoS
Well made it to RC ... and back, under its own power!

Lost the rear diff cover - peeled it off. Sheared a bolt off of the front. Took out my pinion seal (not sure how?). Blew out a shock ... some how my bump stop on the right front is gone and it compressed too hard. Also sliced out a valve stem.

On a purple (above Green, Blue, Black) trail. But it made it Big Grin

Also I believe the 3rd cat is plugged. I took it and the rest of the exhaust off as a preemptive measure to avoid ripping it off. Cherokee had NO problem pulling the popup through PA. On the way back we were able to maintain 65 on the flat and dropped down to only 45 on some of the hills.

Ryan and I had the two least capable vehicles in the group. His Tacoma and my Cherokee held their own pretty darn well for what we were doing.

Power steering never once overheated or got weak. Also, glad I have tthe cooling system working - had the A/C on and that was nice

Sounds like she did pretty well Mike, aside from the assorted carnage, and still pulled the trailer home. That's worthy! I remember when I used to have one of the least built rigs, made conquering stuff feel that much better!

It was well worth it! The next time I'll have it a bit more prepared for the trails. Maybe just sticking to blues Wink and the occasional black.

Why did no one mention ANYTHING about the coal dust? That stuff gets everywhere.

Must be our less capable rigs were made up for by MORE capable driving because we made it everywhere the rest of the group went with little issue. Cool

I didn't break anything structural but I did pick up some more sheet metal damage. Confused
